Gray blending is one of our main specialties. We offer demi-permanent hair color that softly blends your grays with your natural color, so your grow-out looks natural and you don’t need to come in for constant permanent dye touch-ups. We also use balayage and freehand painting techniques to create a seamless, lived-in look, especially if you want to ease into your natural gray or try highlights that break up the grow-out line. These options let you extend the time between appointments while keeping your hair looking fresh and natural.
Tips aren’t expected here because we use a gratuity-free pricing model. All service costs already include the time, skill, and products used, so you don’t need to add a tip. This way, you know exactly what you’re paying for up front and there are no surprises or extra expectations at the end of your appointment.
For bookings made through our AI booking system, any changes or cancellations need to be done at least 48 hours before your appointment to avoid a fee. If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours, there’s a 50% charge. If you cancel in less than 24 hours before your appointment, you’ll be charged the full service price. This policy helps us manage our schedule and respect both our clients’ time and our stylists’ time.
We offer a range of hair color services including balayage, highlights, and specialized gray blending options. Pricing is based on how much time your service takes and the amount of product used, so things like hair length, thickness, and the specific technique all factor in. We discuss everything during the consultation so you know exactly what to expect before we start. This way, pricing is fair and tailored to your individual hair needs.
Color correction services are available for hair that's turned out uneven, too brassy, or just not what you wanted. Every case is different, so we start with a consultation to look at your hair’s condition and talk through the result you’re after. Techniques might include toning, color balancing, or a series of appointments for bigger corrections, depending on how much your color needs to change and to keep your hair healthy. Pricing depends on the time and products required, which we'll explain clearly before starting.
With over 17 years of experience, Benji is skilled in all hair types, including Asian hair textures and dark hair. The right techniques and products are used to achieve natural-looking color results while keeping hair healthy. Services like balayage, highlights, and gray blending can all be customized for dark and coarse hair, and the salon has a strong reputation for working with a wide range of hair textures. Working with Asian hair textures is something we do often, and we know that this hair type can be strong but also sensitive to certain chemical processes. Careful color technique is important to avoid damage, especially with darker, thicker hair. We use specialized methods like balayage and demi-permanent colors that keep your hair’s integrity in mind, offering more gentle options and customizing formulas for every client. Before any color service, there’s a thorough consultation to discuss the approach and select products that protect your hair from unnecessary breakage or dryness.
Asian hair usually has unique traits—it’s often straight, strong, and can feel thicker than other types. With over 17 years of experience, Benji Pow specializes in working with all hair textures, including Asian hair. Some of the most popular services for Asian hair are gray blending, balayage, and dimensional color because they help create a natural, low-maintenance look without harsh regrowth lines. Free-hand painting and customized color formulas ensure your hair stays healthy and the results suit your style. A free 15-minute consultation is a good way to figure out what technique works best for your specific hair texture and the look you want.
Asian hair tends to be straight, thick, and has a strong, smooth cuticle layer, often making it less prone to frizz but sometimes harder to lighten or color. With over 17 years of experience and a lot of practice in San Francisco, I’ve worked with plenty of Asian hair in a variety of textures and lengths. The best cut really depends on your lifestyle and how you like to style your hair—classic bobs and layered cuts can look great for movement and shape, and longer layers can soften thicker textures. For color, Asian hair usually lifts warm, so techniques like balayage and soft gray blending work well to keep color looking natural and dimensional. I always start with a free 15-minute consultation to check your hair's condition and talk about what you want, making sure the plan fits your texture and look you’re going for.
We use Keratin Complex! The EXPRESS BLOW OUT is one of most popular ADD ON treatments to any haircut & color. Lock-in haircolor for up to 12 weeks. Creates instant smoothness and shine that reflects light. Keep your ends sealed to prevent slip ends and unnecessary breakage. Our longer lasting Smoothing Treatments are 2-3hrs long, and last for up to 3 months.
Root touch up services are available, and there are several color options for making regrowth look softer and more natural. Depending on your hair goals, permanent color can be hand-painted to blend new growth with your base color, or demi-permanent color can be used to create a translucent effect that blends grays without making it look harsh or obvious between appointments. These techniques help disguise regrowth lines and keep everything looking seamless, so you don’t have to worry about harsh lines as your hair grows out. Each approach is personalized after a consultation to make sure it matches your hair type, lifestyle, and the look you want.
